This particular guitar is finely made in a traditional style of build. It has cypress lined sides (like Jose Ramirez) and features a unique fingerboard and fretting system, which Claudio describes in the following way: "My fretboards (frets) are in a certain geometry — slightly curved (the Bass side is different from the treble side). This gives me the chance to lower the string action pretty much without having any buzzing. This is my main feature to achieve playability. I use frets which are a bit higher than 'normal' — this also makes the guitar easier to play." The guitar also has a compensated nut and saddle to improve intonation, so overall this is a very finely engineered instrument all around. It has a beautiful and sophisticated rosette (very similar in design to a famous Vicente Arias guitar) with a series of interlocking rings in the mosaic area, and is fitted with Gotoh machines. Materials are well selected with a gorgeous set of CSA rosewood for back and sides that has several lighter colored elements throughout. The guitar has plenty of volume for any performance setting, a beautiful lyrical quality sound, and great balance and sustain. Condition is excellent with no cracks or damage, only minor wear in the finish. Overall a lovely guitar for the price.
