This guitar is an exact replica of the favorite guitar of the legendary maestro Moraito Chico, built by Felipe Conde’s father and uncle in 1972. The original guitar was actually made for Moraito’s father, the brilliant flamenco master Juan Morao. According to Diego del Morao, Juan gave this guitar to Moraito and from that point forward, used it tirelessly for the rest of his life. He created his best music with it and traveled around the world on tour with it over the course of his brilliant career. This is a true flamenco guitar, built with a spruce top, cypress back and sides, best ebony for the fret board and a Honduran cedar neck. Its thinner build give it a noticeably lightweight feel which is also very comfortable to play – especially with the neck which is shaped a bit thinner than the regular current Conde models. It has a ringing sound but is still nicely percussive at the same time. Felipe has done an amazing job at capturing the sound of this vintage Conde. It has planetary tuning pegs keeping with the traditional aesthetic but well adapted to modern times. This guitar has explosive, neat and brilliant sound and is dedicated to flamenco lovers. This is guitar #10 of a limited edition of only 25 guitars will be built in special collaboration with Diego del Morao in homage to his late father Moraito Chico.
