Description

As can be seen in the photos, the guitar is breathtaking. Henner used some of his top materials, including a silky spruce top obtained from his good friend, the late Rolf Eichinger. In fact, this instrument is loosely based on a 640mm Eichinger guitar that Henner was very fond of. Henner and Rolf were not only close friends but both moved to Granada around the same time when Henner established his workshop there. Even though Henner now works and lives in Eutingen, Germany (around 50 km away from Stuttgart), we still consider him one of the makers in the Granada school. His guitars blend the unique qualities found in Antonio Marin Montero's guitars with qualities found in the old, traditional Spanish guitars like Torres, Santos Hernandez, and Manuel Ramirez. The guitar is also fitted with a limited edition set of tuners from Fustero, who has “retired”, but still makes very few tuners for some select clients. As is typical of Henner’s style of build, this guitar features a slightly smaller body shape and is quite powerful, with a rich, textured quality of tone, with thick basses and lyrical trebles. Playability is superb with easy action and a slender and comfortable neck. Because of the light build, attack is immediate, making this a very responsive and satisfying instrument to play. Highly recommended as a top choice for the concert or recording artist.
