Description

This guitar was built in the famous Jose Ramirez workshop, which for over half a century has produced instruments performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.

This model is the top-of-the-line flamenco model which is suitable for both performance on a concert stage and for traditional flamenco playing with dancers and percussionists. It is a very lively instrument with excellent playability and volume; and has an authentic Spanish sound with a lot of bite, making it one of our favorite choices for the serious flamenco guitarist. This guitar has a cedar top which although rare for flamencos, gives the guitar extra volume and a deeper mid-range. Actually, Ramirez have been making cedar blanca's since the mid 1960's when they first introduced cedar for soundboards. Manolo Sanlucar is perhaps the most well known flamenco guitarist to play a Ramirez cedar-top. Although a used instrument from 2004, it's in perfect structural condition (no cracks or repairs) with only some normal playing wear in the finish and some dings behind the bridge.
