Description

Hill "Signature" guitars are custom-made using the most up-to-date designs, methods and materials to produce the highest quality sound, playability and beauty. These "Signature" Models feature a "double top" (pioneered originally by Dammann, Wagner, and others) composed of a Nomex core (an ultra light cell structure), "sandwiched" between two very thin layers of spruce (on the underside) and cedar (on the outside). This makes for an extremely light and efficient soundboard, but is domed in such a way as to maximizes stiffness at the same time - very important for both the sound quality and structural stability. Outwardly it seems just like a normal cedar soundboard. This technique is borrowed from ultra light aviation technology. It is braced using a lightweight system of lattices for a durable but flexible system. Other features include dual soundports, raised fingerboard, truss rod for easily adjusting the neck and 20th fret for players requiring a high C natural. Also fitted with a piezo pickup for gigging musicians needing reliable amplification. Although a second-hand guitar, it is in pristine condition with virtually no signs of prior use. A hardshell case is included with this guitar.
