Description
Simply stated, this instrument is a super-responsive, lightweight, traditionally inspired classical guitar. It has great musicality - a wide range of tone colors and balanced blend of deep bass notes, warm mid-range and clear, round, well defined singing trebles. It has plenty of power to carry in any hall either in ensemble or as a solo instrument. It was built with rare, select materials and is visually striking for its precise craftsmanship, refined inlay and detailing work and elegant design, particularly in the rosette and purfling throughout. Enrico shared his thoughts on some of the specifics for this guitar: "This instrument is similar in construction to the last guitar I sent you ("Twelve"), basically following the Hauser pattern with some of my personal modifications. I used a lighter piece of wood for the top in the attempt to have a bit more of quick and powerful resonance with less effort for the player. And doing this without losing sustain, or in the 'roundness' in the tonal quality. I used a 3 piece highly figured back, and a highly flamed Honduras mahogany neck. I wanted to let the beauty of the wood be protagonist." And what a stunning instrument this is - it sounds as good as it looks. Breathtaking!
Enrico Bottelli’s work has been displayed at numerous important exhibitions and conventions in Italy, Europe and the USA. We are proud to be representing this fine maker in the USA.
