Description
This 2019 "New World" by Hill Guitar Company "640-S" is a classical guitar with a solid cedar top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, made in China for Kenny Hill and set up in his California shop, with a 640 mm scale.
Top of the New World Line
New World's best instruments are the "Players Series" guitars, built with hand-selected solid spruce or Western red cedar tops that give a rich bass, distinct trebles and the projection players look for. Underneath the solid top are solid Indian rosewood back and sides, joined to a Spanish cedar neck with an ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle and a double-acting truss rod.
Its 640 mm string length makes for a slightly more compact playing area than a standard 650 mm guitar.
Suitable for serious students and serious players alike.

Background
New World Guitars by Kenny Hill
"New World" guitars are made exclusively for Kenny Hill in China – in a factory in Guangzhou of which Kenny is a founding shareholder – with the same commitment to quality found in the Hill guitars made in California. Every instrument is given its final setup and adjustment in Hill's shop in California before being offered for sale, reflecting Kenny's commitment to giving players reasonably priced guitars without compromising quality.
Kenny Hill
Kenny Hill is a California guitarist, composer and guitar maker. Since 1989 he has built copies of the great historical guitars in his "Master Series", and his own modern Signature and Performance models – with double tops, lattice bracing and sound ports – are made by hand in his workshop in Ben Lomond, near Santa Cruz. He is also designer emeritus for Cordoba Guitars.
