Kathrin Hauser Description

Kathrin Hauser is the fifth generation builder of the Hauser workshop which has maintained the tradition of guitarmaking that captures the sound and aesthetic of the "teutonic" style, as initially established by her great-grandfather,
Hermann Hauser I and transmitted through her grandfather, Hermann Hauser II and father Hermann Hauser III. Although it is one of the most iconic (and copied) styles since its inception, it should be no surprise that this "Segovia" model has been so faithfully preserved by this workshop - indeed Kathrin and her father work in the same location as both Hermann Hauser I and II, using many of the same tools, and even woods that were acquired by their paternal predecessors. This guitar features an aged spruce top with high-grade, quarter-sawn Indian rosewood for the back and sides. Sound-wise, it has all the classic Hauser qualities - great balance, evenness of sustain and supreme clarity, with lyrical trebles, sturdy and supportive basses and simply a beautiful quality of sound.
