Description

Toby Rzepka is a luthier based in Portland, Maine, making handmade guitars, violins and viol de gambas by traditional methods updated with a modern focus on data and precision. This instrument is built with a stunning set of quilted maple for the back and sides. The European spruce soundboard has an x-braced lattice system which makes tone production effortless for the right hand. The elevated fingerboard assists the player in reaching the upper positions with greater ease, making this guitar also easy on the left hand. There is a bass side sound port which both sends more sound to the player as well as affects the projected sound towards the audience. Lastly it is fitted with Gotoh premium classical tuners with ebony knobs and roller bushings. Although used, it is in excellent condition with only modest signs of prior use.
