This guitar was built in the famous Jose Ramirez III workshop, which for over half a century has produced instruments performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening. These instruments are now considered to be timeless classics, and this is a fantastic example of an older concert flamenco from the "golden age" of Ramirez. It is lightweight and comfortable, with a dry and aggressive old-world flamenco sound. Stamped initials internally are MM (Miguel Malo), who worked for Ramirez from the late 1950's into the mid-1990's before setting up his own shop in Madrid. It is in great condition with no damage, cracks or repairs - only some mild wear in the finish from over 60 years of use. Playability and setup make this guitar concert-ready. It's a near-perfect example of a vintage Ramirez blanca, and has that unique sound that has captivated players and listeners for over half a century.
