1991 Richard Brune "25th Anniversary" SP/CSAR

1991 R. E. Bruné 25th Anniversary Model (U.S.A.) No 10 of 25. Features carved ebony head veneer, solid .999 Silver Rodgers tuning machines with oval mother of pearl buttons, original french polish of shellac. 1991 marked Brune's 25th year of making guitars, so to celebrate this milestone he decided to make 25 special Artist models which had additional deluxe features beyond the usual Artist model specifications. These included a special rosette with extremely tiny mosaic components and the Torres arrows, a complimentary mosaic in the bridge tie block, a carved ebony head veneer, solid .999 sterling silver Rodgers tuning machines, special labels printed from an engraved and etched copper plate, and his most special wood selection and finishing with french polish. These were all initially sold out by subscription immediately when announced, with nearly a third going to Japanese collectors, the rest to American and European buyers. Since that time, Brune was only aware of 3 that have come back on the market, two which we sold, and one sold by another dealer. While very deluxe in their features, these were made to be the ultimate musical instrument. One is featured on the cover of Scott Tennant’s "Pumping Nylon" book, and another is the instrument currently used by touring concert artist Carlos Rodriguez Quiros. This guitar is in what we would call "mint" or even "new" condition - completely original and showing absolutely no sign of prior use.
