This beautifully built guitar features striking materials, particularly a dramatic set of CSA rosewood used for the back and sides and is fitted with a set of Rodgers tuners. The instrument is very lightweight in build, making it ultra-responsive and powerful, much like the southern Spanish guitars of the mid-twentieth century. Sound is rich, wholesome and perfectly balanced. One notable feature is his use of the partial wooden tornavoz fitted inside the soundhole, which Luis uses from time to time in some of his instruments. This helps focus the sound in its outward projection (giving the guitar added power) as well as turning it back into the box making the back resonate more against the players body, helping to enhance the bond between instrument and player. Simply a great guitar, all around - beautiful to the eye and ear. Although a second-hand instrument, it is in brand-new condition, as if it just left the shop. Impeccably made with the finest materials and most discriminating attention to sound and playability, this instrument is both a showpiece and concert workhorse.
