Description
Pepe Romero made two "twin guitars" (#186 and #187) in homage to his hero in guitar building, Miguel Rodriguez. This guitar was made as a structural and aesthetic copy of the great famed "Churchdoor" Rodriguez guitars of the 1970s and was built with a soundboard (already joined) that was given by Miguel Rodriguez to Pepe Romero Jr. as a gift. As would be expected from this design, it has huge volume and extremely quick response. This response and playability is much like an authentic Rodriguez - likely due to its lightweight build for its size. It boasts a very easy, smooth neck and large, rounded frets. Pepe Romero Jr.'s waiting list for new instruments is several years so we are delighted to have this rarified example of his work which is available now. It is from 2010, and in excellent condition.Orfeo Magazine No. 10 - West Coast Luthiers
