Luthier Zoran Kuvac is based in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ex Yugoslavia) and has been a full-time luthier for many years, having built nearly 300 instruments to date - indeed this guitar is his 285th. His influences are mainly traditional Spanish makers such as Torres and Romanillos (he has participated twice in the Romanillos masterclasses) however his current instruments (including the one we are offering here) are based more on the contemporary French school. The guitar we have on offer now is inspired by the work of Dominique Field in particular and a look inside at the bracing system indeed confirms this influence. Although inspired structurally by Field, aesthetically this guitar is uniquely of Zoran Kuvac's design. Materials are very elegant - it features a set of beautiful, figured CSA rosewood for the 3-piece back and sides with a gorgeous tight-grained, quarter-sawn spruce top with some bearclaw figuring throughout. Zoran also added a a bit more inlay into this instrument - tastefully done double "half herringbone" in the purfling frames the top beautifully. Sound is extremely refined - crystal clear in every register with a nice plump, robustness to every note. It is also very responsive to both hands, it has great punch and huge volume. Many well-known guitarists including Zoran Dukić and Edin Karamazov have played Kuvac guitars.
