Description

Originally from Argentina, Paula Lazzarini has been working out of her workshop in Cremona, Italy for several years now, where she has honed her skills to such a high level that she took the FIRST prize in the 4th International "Antonio Marin Montero" Guitar Building Competition in Granada, Spain in 2021. This is the VERY guitar that took the prize! Her work won the jury (which included GSI President David Collett, Alberto Cuellar, Vicente Coves and luthiers Edmund Blochinger, Jose Marin Plazuelo, Yuris Zeltins and Manuel Caceres) over for its understated yet precise craftsmanship, bold yet refined quality of tone, and easy playabilty due to its being very responsive to both right and left hands. It has a deep richness of overtone content in every note yet remains very clear with plenty of separation and balance between the notes. This instrument is everything a winning instrument should be, and we are thrilled to have it here at GSI.
